Oh, I understand....

Nice shot, it's an impressive building. Especially how it stands out so prominently. I got this nice evening shot when I visited in '24. The cathedral is something else as well.

I'm on a short break in Lindos to mark the end of teaching for this academic year. I did spend some time in Rhodes old town as well and will post some images from there also.

A photograph of the Acropolis in Lindos,on Rhodes island. The Acropolis is in the distance on top of a rocky outcrop that rises above the village of Lindos. The buildings are all close together and painted a bright white. The Acropolis goes back some 2500 years, and there are archeological finds going back over 4000 years in the area.

A wide format monochrome image taken on the jetty in Conwy, Noth Wales. The tide is out so the boats are resting on the ground and there is a person walking down towards the shore line. In the background you can see a part of Conwy Castle's wall, this goes right out into the sea when the tide is in. There are a collection of small boats lined up and one is called 'Salty Dog'. The image has been processed to look like an old sepia photograph, there is a high contrast which highlights details.

Absolutely, there was a time when I was using the train a lot to get to where I worked away, and the morning views across the railway were always something else. I got this shot from the castle a couple of months ago.

This is the response that I got about it.. To be fair, I always assumed that I was voting for the party that the candidate represented, so not sure where the take they have comes from.

A screen shot of a reply from the British Parliament about a petition to demand that a by-election be called if an MP defects to another party. It read :

There are no plans to make changes to the current constitutional arrangements, whereby voters elect individual candidates, and not the political party they represent.

It is an established constitutional principle that at UK General Elections, voters cast their vote for individual candidates, and not the political party they represent.

When a Member of Parliament (MP) decides to change their party affiliation, it is for the MP to decide whether to continue to sit in the House of Commons (as a representative of their new political party or as an independent MP) or to stand down from their seat to trigger a by-election and, if they wish, seek re-election.

There are no plans to make changes to the current arrangements.
