Haven't had a #morethanweeds sighting for some time - the intense heat has discouraged my lunchtime rambles. However, I saw these Great Willowherb flowers a couple of days ago. One account says the leaves are used to make a tea in Russia but also that they can cause fits. So, not something to try.
A lunchtime walk between showers took me past this lovely display of Marguerite Daisies, intermingled with Red Valerian of different hues. #morethanweeds

This spell of warm, sunny weather continues to encourage spring flowers. This is Lacy Phacelia, aka Blue or Purple Tansy. To be appreciated for its flower and delicate leaves, but also because bees love it.
The last few days have seen a burst of flowers along street verges, so many I wasn't sure which to use for today's #morethanweeds. This is Herb robert (I think it's a super name). Wikipedia tells me that "Freshly picked leaves, when rubbed on the body, are said to repel mosquitoes".
Spring has properly arrived so time for #morethanweeds. This is Honesty, commonly cultivated in gardens for its flowers and distinctive seed pods.

The Christmas season must have started. At St Stephen's Church, Bath, for a performance of Messiah.
Usually with white flowers, this lovely purple Alyssum (or Seaside Lobularia, though a long way from the coast) was an unexpected discovery this lunchtime. I like the pleasing effect of the fallen autumn leaves around the flowers. #morethanweeds

I found these sunflowers apparently growing wild in a back alley (though I wonder if they could have been planted to bring some joy to passers by). Magnificent. #morethanweeds

Back from a Bath Theatre School production of Les Miserables. Stupendous performances, wonderful acting, and the passionate way schoolchildren played the 'schoolboys' dying on the barricades for a better world was so moving. A nice red (appropriate) wine to recover my composure #ConfinedCocktails
