And yes, I tried it. Kava is served in a coconut shell traditionally, and here's a picture or two of my meal. It was bitter and herbal and minty and made my tongue numb, but beyond that I had no experiences, religious or otherwise. Not my favorite beverage, but novel and worth a try! #MauiVacay
Dinner at Wow-Wee Maui's Kava Bar and Grill! "Kava" is a hawaiian herb that I'm told is often compared to alcohol in that it is said to have similar effects but without the alcohol itself. Ancient Hawaiians supposedly took it to have religioua experiences. #MauiVacay
Shaved Ice from Ululani's! I've never had the delicious treat and a friend insisted that Ululani's is the best shaved ice around. #MauiVacay
