I like to take leftovers from the week and combine them into a wholly new dish. I call it "nextovering". This week's entry is chicken molé casserole. Roasted chicken thigh meat, farro, vegetables, molé sauce, beans, sweet potato and cheese. Excepting the sweet potato & beans, the rest are leftovers.

I have a couple of cooking projects for the week. Used the raspberries for a compote and I will be using that to make pastries. I also got myself the ingredients for Dubai chocolate. I am going to play around with candy and also a baked sweet. Should be fun and challenging to keep it all sugar free.

Spent some time on Lake Shannon today. First time there and the lake was really quiet. Only 1 power boat that we saw once and a couple of paddle boards. Lovely day 🌞

I don't care that devs/data scientists use LLMs and agents. I hope that AI enthusiasts remember that without a well maintained & documented language, your code will suck. This is a big reason corporations should support open-source software projects. #opensource #rstats (pic from an email exchange)

While LLMs and agents can assist in code production, they require a well maintained and documented language to be effective in assisting a developer.
Further, if the developer doesn't know the math, the LLM or agent will make choices based solely on documentation provided by the R Project.
The argument is inverse: if corporations expect their devs/data scientists to use LLMs and agents, then the core languages being used must be well-maintained and documented to provide the best chance for coding success with these tools.
The more abstracted the engagement, the more important it is that the base language works predictably and the LLM or agent can easily ingest and use it.

My sister & I had the same driving instructor in S. California. All of my lessons were in a convertible VW Rabbit. I spent an entire summer with that top down driving all over. Gave me my favorite cassette tape I asked to play every time I got in the car. He was likely happy to get rid of it.

Spent my Sunday in the kitchen with a pumpkin. I made a savory soup and sugar-free pumpkin pie custard. It was a good day. I needed this.

A pumpkin split into three pieces on a counter. This is how all of it starts - deconstructing a squash.

Finished pumpkin soup in a pot on a stove. This is the easiest step after creating puree. It is also the smartest thing to do because now you have dinner ready, regardless of how the rest of it goes.

Pumpkin soup finished with a sage yogurt drizzle and pepitas in a mini crock style bowl. Dinner tonight plus a piece of yummy toasted bread with butter and a chicken drumstick.

6 cups of cooked pumpkin pie custard in Pyrex ramekins on a rack to cool on a counter. Today's batch is the first time I have made this 100% sugar free. Instead of sugar, I used Lakanto Golden erythritol-monk fruit blend and maple flavored allulose syrup. It's wetter than previous batches.
