That's easy. I rescued my cat fron eight months in a shelter and he rescued me from anxiety and depression. It always works both ways.
Isn't it amazing how cats can change? My Dude was in a cage for 8 months and a hoarder house before that. He was standoffish for a long time. Now he is a lovey-dovey sweetie.
