This month has been pretty shite (I'm desperately looking for an escape from the US/my mother's house if anyone has any jobs going spare) but at least the final covers of the book have arrived. :)

@evedazzle.bsky.social now possibly over 20in in isolated spots in DR. :(
@evedazzle.bsky.social Possibly over 20in of rain in bits of DR... :(
@evedazzle.bsky.social Not much change for DR's forecast wrt the tropical storm. Still mostly concerned about long-lasting heavy rain (possibly into early next week), flooding and landslides. Winds shouldn't be too bad there; it's looking like Haiti and Jamaica are under the highest threat.
Have fun (for sufficient values of the term) protesting at #NoKings, everybody! :) If you are anywhere within the yellow or dark green on this map (from NOAA SPC), make sure you have a way to receive weather warnings and know where shelter is! #notameteorologist #alsocantdocrowds
Good luck! <3 Houston should be far enough south to avoid storms, but if you know anyone protesting in the yellow or dark green areas on this map (from NOAA's Storm Prediction Centre) tell them to have their weather alerts on! <3
Those of you going to protests tomorrow: if you're in the yellow or dark green on this map (NOAA's Storm Prediction Centre), make sure to keep an eye on the weather! #FYI #notameteorologist #juststudyingweathercomms
I actually tried to do a flowchart when teaching the MCU in 2015 and it covered the ENTIRE WHITEBOARD back then...
