Today I found a bunch of pictures I can't bear to part with. I had an unfortunate perm as a kid and mostly I had no idea how to deal with curly hair but this picture... I look happy.
It is sad, although I maybe have a different perspective on keeping church doors locked, which I don't see as inherently bad. As a young kid we lived in an apartment above the office section of our church building (right hand side of this structure, they're connected)...

Today we trekked to Kansas City by train to surprise my father in law for his birthday. It was a surprise all right. I also got some great sunset photos on the train.
EB 88 was already congested heading into 290 at 9:45, this happened around 10. Whole area's still shut down, and ... there are no alternate routes, it's a huge tangle of highway right there. US 45 is Mannheim. I guess you could take Roosevelt (Rt 38).
