Last thing to bitch about! But PLEASE get an artist who's a designer so Bishop isn't once again back in his OG '90s outfit and Betsy, Angelica, and Vance aren't stuck in generic blue and yellow. Comics are a visual medium. Make something visually appealing, I beg!
Sunfire, who could have become a major character if Gerry Duggan could write more than 3 characters at a time in a team book. Instead, we got all of 5 panels in one issue about Shiro, then he was off the team a few issues later. Al Ewing did more for him in the same amount of space in SWORD.
I absolutely love these outfits. On par with Jim Lee's X-Men designs. (Although I think the next two Polaris wore were even better than this one for her.)
idk who H***n P***r is and frankly idgaf. I just want to stop hearing his name all the time. Talk about someone actually interesting, please.
Caught up on The Power Fantasy by @kierongillen.bsky.social, @casparw.bsky.social, and @claytoncowles.bsky.social, and anyone who misses Krakoa X-Men should read it. A tremendous work of art. I hate that I have to wait a year for the next trade, but that gives me an excuse to reread the whole thing.
I will cap for Chipotle forever no matter how expensive it is or how mid it gets
Esad Ribic is also responsible for the iconic Wolverine cover where he's reclining in a chair leering at a silhouetted nude Nightcrawler standing in the foreground. This guy knows what he's doing and he's a legend for it.
Fun times having repairmen fixing something in my bedroom right next to the wall of erotic gay art
Picked up a pass for Mid-Atlantic Leather this weekend. First time attending. Mildly worried I may be biting off more than I can chew but I have to try once, right? Besides, I need a reason to wear my harness, I almost never put it on.
Got some new corkboard tiles to display my pin collection. Lots of Kickstarter stuff and pins from The Ghibli Museum in Tokyo form when I went
Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden or Alice In Chains
Photo evidence of my saved ganache. A triple chocolate caramel truffle pie. This is so rich, a little goes a long way.
I'm sure Jay Jurden is making it his mission to reveal that's not exactly the truth
Renn Faire today and I got these boots to start an HQ red mage cosplay. Gonna need more excuses to wear them, though. Can't tell in these photos but they make my calves look great.
We watched Cave Dwellers, a poor Conan knockoff that at least cast this guy as the lead
Oncology checkup for Charlie today since it's been a year since he had his spleen and an adrenal gland removed for one tumor and a toe amputated for another. Generally looks fine, but still has elevated liver enzymes, which suggests Cushing's Disease. Now we need confirmatory testing.
I've been stop and go with exercise and general fitness for years but I think my ass is finally getting fat in the way I want it to be rather than the way it has been.
Itchy and Scratchy Land, the amusement park of the future, where nothing can possiblie go wrong. Uh, possibly go wrong. That's the first thing that's ever gone wrong.
