I put the selling price of this listed house into the calculator. The calculator says the taxes on this house are $13,774.04. But they are NOT that much because the current selling price of the house is not the MPAC "assessed value" of the house, which is MUCH lower in the vast majority of cases.
The calculator is useless unless you know what the MPAC assessed value is of the house. I did a screenshot of a Pickering house that is currently listed for sale on the MLS and it shows on the listing what the current taxes are on this house.

I was at the Pickering location of the "FIGHT FORD" protest on Saturday in front of my MPP's office! 19 MPPs attended the protest!!! 🏆 Weird though that my MPP, Bethlenfalvy, didn't attend. I invited him! 😂 The weather was BRUTAL. Very cold, windy, and pouring rain. May 30th is the next protest!

The world lost a champion today. Stephen Lewis spent his entire life working tirelessly for social justice and human rights. He demanded better of all of us. We can't let him down. We all need to carry the torch for him and fight injustice in our world.

🚨 ANOTHER MP HAS JUST CROSSED THE FLOOR TO JOIN THE LIBERALS! An NDP MP this time! Carney is now just 2 seats shy of a majority. And 3 by-elections are coming up on April 13th with 2 of the seats being contested regarded as Liberal strongholds. So he is gonna get the majority he wants VERY soon!
