In the beginning, there was Nothing. Nothing precipitated into vast Clouds. Clouds precipitated into Water, and it coalesced around the First Drop. Some of It didn't want to be Water, so turned back into Clouds.
Clouds coalesced into Beings, and found they could not be too far from the Water or they would dry up. One of these Beings was Destruction, and wanted to unravel Creation back into Nothing. It ate many Waters and Clouds, returning them to Nothing. Justice found that this was not just, so sent *their* *pregnant spouse* Fortune to Wilderness, where *they* gave birth to Honor. Poison lie in wait, and in nursing Honor took *their* strength away. Wilderness Roared and greatly wounded Poison, who fled to Destruction. Honor, weakened, was raised by Wilderness, grew, and went to fight Destruction. Honor was too weak and, with help from Darkness, barely made it back to Wilderness. Strength, seeing this, took up rage and went away to Destruction. Invention was grabbed by Strength and twisted to Destruction. Honor saw Creation falling apart, and retreated deep into Wilderness. Honor heard only small whispers from Wilderness to find Honor within Honor. Honor stayed for a whole cycle of the Moons, and found Honor within Honor. Honor went again to fight Destruction and won, trapping Destruction, only able to eat small bits at a time.

There were so many stars out last night! Truly the thing I miss most about living in more rural areas

6. Stop And Smell The Roses
Growth is hard because you have to stretch into a place you aren't, each branch, each leaf, each thorn, each flower coming into being in a place never occupied before, being from not being is always a strange experience as all of us can tell you.
But things that are difficult can suddenly become not so, and you wonder if they've always been easy and you've been too focused on keeping your leaves held up in the rain to notice, but maybe a soft breeze comes along to remind you that it wasn't always this easy, that holding your leaves up takes enough effort as it is, and water needs time to flow through the soil to become nourishing to your roots.

Getting back into writing poetry

1. Divide
You need to rid yourself of it, rend it from your being and throw it into cleansing flames, let the smoke and ashes carry the screams and sobs of the fallen, righteous fury rushing in to fill the void
You need to push it from yourself, gouge it out, bit by bit, joy by joy, embrace by embrace, song by song, and dance by dance, you need to feel so full it couldn't ever dream of sinking its countless claws and thorns into you again
You need to remind yourself every time it rears its gaping, voracious head that it doesn't serve you, it doesn't serve anyone, it only serves monsters, it only tightens its grip if left unchecked, it only exists to keep us from being fully ourselves
You need to kill the hopelessness, the quiet knife, the polite knife, the one that twists behind your back with a smile, the one that covers your eyes and tells you everything is fine just the way it is
You need to rid yourself of it by any means necessary, because where there is love there is no need for it, where there is love there is no room for it
