🌱. Happening here after the rains and my Sarah McLachlan-inspired afternoon. I love that the calla lilies keep showing up and the moonflowers showing out!
🌱. If that’s not a skull face!! 💀 I DO realize I might be gathering “seeds” too soon—-green parts. But, I had to share the skull! 🤭
🌱. Today, I noticed that a neighbor has a passion flower vine growing all over their azaleas! I’d love a passion flower vine! Can I proplift and plant here? (I know nothing abt passion flower)
🌱. Chaos garden! Next year, I’ll endeavor to plant more deliberately. But for now, it’s a lot of fun to see which seeds are working in this plot!
🌱. I knew better to leave my watering wand outdoors! But it’s only been a couple days! And now wrapped in moonflower vine or is it clematis?
🌱. I tried to get a good pic of the bumblebee enjoying zinnias and cosmos. It’s a bit blurry. But I’m happy to be feeding!!
🌱. This little sunflower from Kroger has really performed!! I wonder if it will be perennial?!
🌱. The irascible neighbor’s space—where I planted zinnias (seed) and marigold (seed) and transplanted daylilies!! It was a mudhole before! Proud of this!
My hair guy sent me this! He just acquired it and the church next door had questions. 🤦♀️. But I LOVE it!! 🥰
🌱. After cutting my DA rose blooms (love them in the house.). Other climbers on these trellises include moonflower and clematis. So far no blooms on the moonflower yet!
🌱. Clematis blooming in the moonflower/ nasturtium/ (failed sweet pea) pots! This is such a wonderful surprise bc I didn’t expect to see blooms until maybe next year!
I’m the same! I’ll clean the crab grass and whatnot from the crevices but, I always leave the flowers!! Here’s one of mine today! It’s a two-fer!
They are so intertwined in these metal baskets. I could cut off the bottom fronds but there’s still the rabbit foot roots! It’s like a gd open basket (minus coir) of roots!
🌱. Another issue, and I realize not to mess with it until fall, but i have a gargantuan (probly old as me) peony. It seems to be a Sarah Bernhardt. Ive noticed fewer blooms past 2 years. Do you guys separate gigantic peonies? Where/how to begin? Its consumed the long sunlight part of garden. Pics.
🌱I “inherited” these rabbits foot ferns from a senior neighbor who moved to assisted living. I don’t know what to do with them. This is after abt 3 mos living outside in my Japanese maple. They are taking up all the space!! What to do? Divide them? I’ve tried giving one away; no takers. Pics—
🌱. Also, I found this guy at Kroger this morning. Trying to decide where to put him! I have plenty of long-sun spaces—but I’d have to kill off some seedlings to make room.
🌱 you lose some (baby hydrangea); you win some!! Today, during my garden “inspection”—btw, the cilantro seedlings are now claiming to be large bullwort—I found this!! A clematis is beginning to grow alongside my Lady of Shalott! I’m thrilled!
🌱. You all probably know already how much I love crevice flowers. Imagine my surprise today when I spotted 2 types in the same crevice clump! It’s a pink snap dragon and a “yet to bloom” purple petunia!
🌱. The oak leaf hydrangeas—mama and baby. I stuck a “do not trim” sign to protect it from our HOA’s “mowing company.”
Same here!! I just noticed my neighbor has 2 new volunteers! I intend to tell him, they’re precious and should be allowed to grow big!
🌱. Holy cannoli! I expected seeds from some of the snapdragons. And some work to extract them. These just fell onto the countertop! What do I do now? Envelope? I only have white regular mailing envelopes! What do you all do to keep your seeds?
🌱. DA Lady of Shalott—blooming alone and for no reason. I think this is going to be “Arthur’s Rose” from now on. To me.
