US Congress Flooded With Calls After TikTok Asks For Support Against Ban In-app Pop-up message urging people to call Congress was distributed to users over 18. TikTok currently has over 140M users from the US. Its biggest market.

Stop a TikTok shutdown. Call your representative now. When you're connected say where you're from and tell them to vote NO on the TikTok ban.

Don't let the government strip 170 million Americans of their Constitutional right to free expression.

Well. Looks like every Twitter copy has a chance to catch up. Threads app is no longer hot a week later. Look for more activity from T2 and Bluesky, if they can survive their own community.

Keep in mind this is an open source, a-la-cart, decentralized and compostable moderation framework is just basic and not the end solution. It will ultimately depend on the owner of the server. #SocialMedia #ModerationPolicy

In a federated model, each server has discretion over what they choose to serve and who they choose to connect to. If you disagree with a server’s moderation policies, you can take your account, social connections, and data to another service.
