The rules don’t apply to them if the rules aren’t applied to them. Article is WSJ “Morgan Stanley Bankers Were Pressured to Approve Mortgages for Wealthy Clients” by AnnaMaria Andriotis
I would be waaaay too stressed by this movie, but can confirm that some cats will deal with a leash if it means they get to go outside. Do they *like* their harnesses? No. Do they come running when they hear them because they’re so excited to go out? Yes.
Hey @council.seattle.gov, why is SeaFair allowed to turn Rainier playfield into a parking lot? Who thinks that parking hundreds of vehicles on dry grass is a good idea? Does any of the $50/vehicle/day charge go to Seattle Parks? Why invite the Blue Angels to buzz neighborhoods? (2025 pic)
Here’s the WA list. Jayapal, Smith, and Randall voted against mass censorship, the rest supported it.
This article is a roller coaster. Headline uses “side effect” (scary!) but the actual study shows a *benefit* in significantly reducing heart-related COVID complications (great!). Then it actually mentions long COVID and ongoing cardiac damage (bad news, good to include). apple.news/AFhwsS-gfR8u...
The noise I let out when I saw the new bike racks in the intersection redesign at Orcas 😅🥹
Ahhhh congrats!!! I am now very team harness+backpack. I think backpacks are easier on the body than traditional carriers & smaller than a stroller, but if you let them hang out, it’s a core/shoulder workout. The cats nap in it all the time, and it’s become their go-to safe place when we’ve moved.
Did an LLM do this “logic”? All of this is extremely consistent with the “more Ai, more senior, no entry level” pattern in this field (in-office or not!!), and comparing employment rates with nursing?!?
Nope, definitely accessibility killing employment rates because there’s no way jobs that can be done remotely are more susceptible to CEOs thinking they can be done by Ai or anything like that 🙄
I should also report that the other cat is very unhappy to have been left out of the fun
This would NEVER fly with her if there were car traffic on #LWB right now, but instead she’s out generating smiles. #urbanAdventureCat
Pestering every other resident of the house all morning long appears to have been very tiring for the poor baby
Belgium is apparently going to be at the Sounder’s training base in Renton #TheSportsballIsComing
So on top of her trust funds from Vanderbilt & Standard Oil money, her child support is now $50K PER MONTH, not including… pretty much all the major childcare expenses. Casual.
Oh but don’t worry, they throw in some classic “this hurts men” by suggesting that women are overwhelmingly getting the “new” jobs… no mention of who was overwhelmingly laid off or the net differences of course.
Holy shit— WaPo actually said it. Illness/disability is the main reason why working age men 25-54 aren’t working…
So first we get to this one for men/boys 16-24, and I immediately check out that bump at the bottom in illness/disability. Not the biggest % but that’s a meaningful bump!
Oh look, another “male crisis” article… only there are a few major things in this one apple.news/A1IK2V1rITBO...
Don’t worry, Queen Anne (different NIMBY neighborhood) made the same horrific argument in 1907! It’s probably going to apply for historic protected status any day now… (extra ableism ahead) www.seattlechildrens.org/about/history/
Time to start another week of being gorgeous, watching out for crows, and generally running the household.
This bit of the fine print is fascinating to me. Not even a 5-10 year guarantee for all the Disney adults buying in (if that was your thing)! “No guarantee is made that the communities… will continue to be managed by Disney, use the name ‘Disney’ or otherwise be associated with Disney.”
I doodled a bit of my feelings / a dream I had last night and like how this bit came out (to be clear, I hate the sentiment!)
