As the stallion plotted this next move, in the blink of an eye, Victor dashed forward, teeth bared and weapon drawn, aiming for Hector's neck as he swung with surprising force.

Hector was only just barely able to dodge the killing blow, his cloak shredded by the axe's blade as he lunged and fell to the ground. How can he be so fast?!

More Catbirds! I wanted to design some common birds of prey used in falconry, primarily in North America. We have the Harris's Hawk, who are primarily pack hunters, the Red Tailed Hawk, the tiny but deadly Kestrel, and the majestic Gyrfalcon, more common in northern regions. #gryphon #griffon

With a flash of vibrant crimson, a dozen of sharp crystal shards appeared around Rosie, as if summoned out of thin are by nothing but her rage. The enraged mare grabbed hold of the unmasked assailant by the collar and jolted him violently, brandishing her fist as she screamed in his face.

Rosie: WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?! What do you want with me?!

A reasonable enough question, since this was the third attempt on her life by these same masked freaks. The scarred face stallion smirked, his eyes glowing an unnaturally bright green in the pink lighting.

Hector: Ain't it obvious by now? We know what you are!

As if reacting of Rosie's magic, the crystals along the stallion's pauldrons glowed brighter and started to spark with their own magic charge. With a bright flash, a magical blast pushed Rosie back violently, her body crashing into a nearby tree and winding her.

Rosie: What the-- AHHH!

The cloaked assailant seemed unphased by the blast as he picked himself up, but not before picking up one of Rosie's shattered crystal pieces to examine. The pressure of his gloved finger tips were enough to crumble the brittle gem until it was nothing but dust, carried off in the wind.

Hector: A crystal freak like you is exactly what we have been looking for... Not very skilled at your craft, are you? Don't worry, we still have uses for some even as inept as you.

Rosie: That's what this is about? I'm not going to let you take me that easily..

Rosie panted as she recovered from the surprise attack. Was that Magic?! But isn't he an Earth Pony?!
