My band is on WCBN's Local Music Show tomorrow. I was a DJ there for like 7 years and am excited to be on the air again. Tune in at 88.3 FM or WCBN.org. Turn it to the left and rip the knob off.
Just went and picked out my haul. As a big Kore-eda fan and a janitor, Perfect Days really hit home. Great pick.
Today is the day @subvert.fm officially launches. It's a worker and artist owned alternative to Bandcamp. It's the future which means it's where you'll find History History. www.subvert.fm/history-hist...
I have two shows on the same weekend coming up. One as History History, the other in a band I was just asked to join as the singer of all things, Cattywampus. Come on down!
My next History History show. I'm spending all next month getting my tech in order so it's better than my last show.
I used this photo (taken on a broken Meg White edition Diana camera) in Yellowstone. As soon as I saw it, I knew it'd be the cover of a record, just didn't know it'd be mine.
I have been taking a picture of myself on my birthday for 11 years. Crazy how little and how much can change at the same time.
As per tradition on my IG, here's what I read this year. It's mostly comics because my brain has been a bit fried with all the 60 hour weeks, starting @breadandrosesart.bsky.social, and, ya know, the world.
Spending the slow days at work wisely. Get your @ihavethatonvinyl.com zine now. Handmade!
I also have a church near me with a large red neon cross. Just an odd sight.
My live show features video projection. So I made a live content warning.
Playing my first show in nine years (and my first as History History) this month. It's a benefit for Peace House who do critical mutual aid for homeless folks in town. Great show. Great cause. It's no lose.
And I backed it on kickstarter. So nice of them to make getting me on another government watch list easier. Lol
Got that new book from the mind of @djtalkstrash.bsky.social. Danger Boi is here.
I could post 1,000 albums here, cause the 90s were great, but a general rule of thumb is, if Steve Albini recorded it, it's extremely my shit.
Also this is this weekend. Gonna have to check it out before going to see @jeffrosenstock.bsky.social
Gonna have to go to this since they are such a big inspiration for @breadandrosesart.bsky.social
