Six years ago an FIP diagnosis would have been a death sentence, but for Kevin it’s been nothing short of a miracle. With antiviral treatment (that became available after covid-19) Kev is feeling much better. She even had late night zoomies last night!

#KOTD (Kevin of the day) Sunday, 6.28.26: When we adopted Kevin the rescue said she had allergies, so she has always eaten sad Rx food. Her doc who diagnosed the FIP says she doesn’t have allergies and can eat anything now! Fish, chicken, rabbit, duck, human hands … 🐈‍⬛

on wednesday they're going to remove kevin's left eye. after her recent surgery the doc diagnosed her with a rare condition called septic implantation syndrome. then she developed glaucoma in that eye, and as of yesterday, the eye no longer responds to light either.

Kevin has been cleared for cataract surgery next week! We are hopeful that it will clear up her vision. Sadly that means she has to wear this cone for another month 🙀😿

Poor Kevin has been having a rough time. She had a corneal ulcer which her ophthalmologist literally shaved off yesterday using a diamond burr. 😱 In spite of it all she is still demanding scritches. The most forgiving kitty on earth!
