We live in the beautiful Finger Lakes of New York farm country. Our family immigrated from England in 1636. Silly Puritans.
So many cemeteries from the 1800's have 30% of those interred under 18 years of age. 30%. Check your local records. It's easy to do. God bless the child.
I hope each and everyone of you had a grand holiday. Back at it today.
Thank you to the Guild Veterans of King Philips War, Minute Men of the Revolutionary War, war of 1812, the Guilds that gave their lives in the Civil War, and others, including my Father who served in Korea. To all the Guilfords Veterans of King Philips War, the Revolutionary War, War of 1812 et al.
Often it is the little things that make me smile with delight. So our hibiscus 🌺 bush that we have here at Schuyler Hospital, of which I water appropriately, has bloomed a flower. Now this bush hasn’t flowered since I don’t know when. Something is afoot.
@ffrebecca.bsky.social took this image at 5:30 this morning of the Pillars of Light Ice Crystals. Have any of you seen this before? Amazing heavenly sight. Science!
Decades ago, I anchored the local news. Back in the 3/4 inch tape days. What that news format was back then was surely different than today. I've never seen an industry promote and normalize what is happening.
The iPhone shot doesn't do this image at dawn any justice this morning outside my office. Cheers for a great day of hope for all.
I used to do the news for many years in the 1980's. Straight up news with soundbites and all. What that was and what is out there now are diametrically opposing to each other IMO.
