In shockingly happy happenstance, mom pulled some great cards! She didn’t get a golden Smaug, but she did get an alt-art version! Other notables included the paperback versions of Bard, King of Dale and Thranduil, the Elven King, and she pulled the One Ring!

I was curious and bought a mystery slab from Nostalgium. The plan: - Build a deck around my surprise commander - Use only cards I already own while keeping this one in the slab (I enjoy collecting cards) Any thoughts on build? I'm thinking pillow fort/equipment. #mtgcommander #mtgcommunity

I haven’t skated regularly in 25 years. Got to christen a belated birthday gift. I nearly cackled with joy. Also, I feel strain on muscles which - as a teen - I didn’t know I possessed. 😅

To close out the year, I managed to find a Magic Final Fantasy Gift Bundle. I expect they’ll be the last FF boosters I’ll be able to open, and it’s the only collectors booster I’ve opened. I expected some time of quiet nostalgia and enjoyment, but my ridiculous booster luck continues. 😅

It turns out that I didn't reliably go through my mail over the holiday season. I just found this lovely gift from Wizards of the Coast! 😅 Firstly, thank you for the thoughtfulness! Secondly, it couldn't be timelier, as I'm just getting back into @magic.wizards.com!

Rocket Mozzafiato Evoluzione R, and I recently upgraded to a Eureka Oro Mignon. The flat burr makes a big difference over conical. But the cherry on top is an original oil painting from my favorite New Orleans illustrator Jamie Hayes. I also have various hanging accessories and portafilters.

Not a great year for my hops, but I knew it wasn’t going to be. I upset the root structure of my Centennials, so I got 1/4 of last year’s yield. In a fun surprise, I got a small harvest from my Nugget and Cascade hops. Next year should be better, and with 8 varietals.

My birthday is tomorrow, and I'm blessed to have a partner who not only appreciates my quirks and hobbies but encourages them. @howtoadhd.bsky.social (LOVE YOU!) gave me this amazing espresso organizer shelf. I - of course - had to riddle it with D&D magnet poetry, once I installed it.
