36 years (so far) as a Mental Health Professional has left me highly critical of Mental Health Professionals and the services they create. Very left indeed.
Seems even @bsky.app plays the misinformation game. Polls have only just opened.
I think generally the less stigmatising phrase is Effluent Enthusiast.
One newspaper (Metro) uses the phrase "sobbin Robbins", yet the BBC chose to use it in the headline for its daily newspaper review. It's sunk low, the BBC, as low as the tabloids when it just doesn't need to.
Saw this relic on a wall today and somehow it captured both how things used to be, and also how they still feel. Also fascinated by the assumption that a person in need of this smoked more than one cigarette at a time.
Costumer services should give them a wig, red nose and extra long shoes.
Damage is done though. Media obsession with this nonsense following the election meant that Farage and Reform slithered their racist rhetoric onto the front pages for days. This story will see the light of day for a couple of hours before disappearing into air.
If mental health is important to you then support this this publication, it's such an important voice!
Extraordinary. I live in the backwoods of Wales but this sophisticated piece of anti-communist propaganda finds its way through my letter box this morning. Never had one for Les Miserables, despite Cameron McIntosh's genius as Impresario.
Dear Wes Streeting, Here's your mates in private healthcare doing their best to overcome the scourge of over-diagnosis.
Yeah, also the outrage to bottle tops that stay attached to the bottle to reduce plastic waste?
Movie pitch: Bloke called Andrew plots to knock off 8 relatives so he can take up his rightful place in the Monarchy.
Are they though @BBC? This movie is not about an alien invasion, is it. Fair play though, it's a really good way to play on people's paranoia. Not sure if it's constructing the narrative or capturing the zeitgeist. Either way, as worthy as any propaganda campaign from the 30's or 50's.
Can anyone help? The chat screen on Bluesky says I have to have age verification - and has a persistent notification about it. No intention to verify so how do i get rid of the notification?
