Welp: got my first "you disagree with my so you're a fascist!" on BlueSky. I thought for a time that I'd left that behind in the other place. Oh well. It was a good dream while it lasted. Below is a thread collating my argument on the problem with the ACA discourse happening right now.

F: I think that during an immediate fight to protect what we have achieved, we should focus on promoting something better, not poking at the holes in what we have. I think vociferously criticizing what we have while it's in danger helps the people trying to destroy it. I used my small voice to say so.

Today Oct 20th 2025, we're in a fight to keep people alive until then. I do think most politicians are reactive, short-sighted creatures. This shutdown fight hinges on ACA tax credits. Seeing people tear down the ACA (even when it is very valid criticism) right NOW says to them "fold on this fight."

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe my response comes from an incomplete picture of the situation. If you think that makes me bootlicking fascist cuck then I guess I'm going to block you now. I'm sure you'll screencap something and go on about how terrible a person I am, but I don't see the point in continuing.

Finished product. It's a ward against the Finn. Don't ask what it's painted on. Or what it's painted with for that matter.

A tan ribbon with dark red print. There is no text, only four symbols. The first is the so-called "Hjarta Bindrune", a symbol for courage.* The second is a campfire. The third is a treble cleff with a 5 line musical staff running through it on a wavy diagonal (a part of musical notation). The last is a Bohr model schematic of an iron atom labeled "Fe" in the center.

*as best I can tell this is a modern design with an ahistorical interpretation, but I'm doing this for fun and it's really hard to find a commonly understood symbol to represent courage.

Rate My Professor page for Jamie Bronstein, Subject: History, New Mexico State University. The review show is for History 201 from July 2022. Reviewer gives a 1.0 for difficulty and 1.0 (out of 5) for quality.

The review reads as follows:

Class wasn't hard, but then again History isn't a particularly difficult subject. I gave her a low rating because she insulted me about a family members cancer. Said it wasn't a big deal. Just because your political ideologies don't line up with hers, doesn't give her the right to insult an ill relative.
