PhD holder and teacher of journalism at a CT university. Currently too tired to be any good at social media-ing. (She/Her) P.S. If it isn’t obvious by now, you should know I love animals.
This is in my phone photos, apparently taken on Tuesday. I have no idea what it is or how it was taken, but it looks kinda neat.
Having fun and remembering how much I miss living in California. Can’t beat an evening sail in the bay.
Ok fine because I do think I was killing it in the overalls today. I’m normalizing wearing overalls at 45.
I get to hang out with these two beautiful divas for the next few days.
I counted about 9 seconds starting from when it started moving towards the truck at about :29 since the 100 yards is based on the distance when it was laying down. But you are correct. I don’t know why everyone thinks that timing disproves the distance.
Ginny hanging out with her aunty Ruby (my mom’s dog) in the backyard.
I would not want to actually be there, but my grandma and her friend are enjoying it on the tv with the sound turned low.
The AP live stream camera moved, probably to take shelter, and I love the new angle.
Long story short, someone is going to need to restrain me from taking one of these puppies back to CT with me at the end of the summer. Also, someone needs to save this poor couple from a house full of puppies (they might keep 1 or 2) and have a talk with their daughter. 13/13
Here’s a photo my grandma gave to my grandfather, I assume after they were already dating based on the salutation. Even though the photo is damaged, you can probably tell why my grandpa was interested. I hope she doesn’t mind me sharing this.
Here’s a photo my grandfather gave to my grandmother when he was trying to date her.
Here’s an excellent photo of my great aunt Gytha in traditional Icelandic costume when she was very young, probably in her teens or early twenties.
Going through family photos and found this one of my great-great grandmother, Theodóra Thoroddsen, the Icelandic poet. With her is her daughter Maria. The photo is a little damaged but it’s still a great photo.
It’s the little things that make me feel at home. Oh Inland Empire, how I mostly don’t miss you.
Still watching! I’ve never seen her this interested in tv before. I think it’s because my grandma is watching, and she’s fascinated with my grandma.
She stepped away during the ad break and then dashed back when she heard Dr. Quinn! 😂
If you are so inclined, it’s interesting to look through what people are writing. This one, I think, is exemplary of what the FCC is up against. From Marjorie & Richard Pertzborn today.
Another evening of rewatching Dr. Quinn with my grandma. Made it to the first Johnny Cash episode (season 1 episode 3). He was made for the role.
Continuing the Dr. Quinn rewatch with my grandma. Jane Seymour and Joe Lando are way too hot for the frontier. I mean, come on:
