Finally finished the #cdrama #StoryOfKunningPalace. I think if I hadn't mentally glitched over this dramas portrayal of Xie Wei's mental illness, I may have been able to enjoy it more. I can see how this drama may not have been for everyone but I'm glad to finally clear this from my list. The End.

I appreciate that 2 views were shown thru the characters of Barth &Tanrak. 1 faced more judgment &rejection, the other worked to find acceptance within himself. It was easy to identify w/1, the other or at times both. I think this drama was great & in it I found opportunities for personal reflection
My biggest surprise was finding that even though this is set on the other side of the globe, it was familiar to queer experiences where I was growing up at that time, in the Bible Belt, making me realize that although this world is vast, we as a people have more in common than we realize.
I've just binge watched the #bl #TicketToHeaven, & now I am snot bubble crying. I've been wanting to see this since before they even started workshopping it! So many carry the heavy burden of Religious trauma/guilt with them throughout their lives & I was curious to see how it would be portrayed.
