Marine AFC, soi-disant apolitical apanthrope, habla inglés y español, maths and physics geek, loving husband and father. All views someone else's so blame them.
I really, really wanted to launch my head tonight, but alas...
NYC was only just coming out of covid restrictions so was essentially the only tourist in the entire city. I had Time Square to myself. One day, on a whim, I rode the F all the way to Coney Island, which was closed. One of the best two weeks of my entire life, and the F-train was at the heart of it.
¡viva las tapas! ¡viva la rioja! Not that I'm not neutral or anything. I've had choripan a few times during this tournament. Not tomorrow though. #WorldCup2026 #ESPFRA
I'm British, and it's my birthday today. Last month, my wife was on business in Orlando, and she asked me if I'd like a birthday whiskey from the duty free. I chose this. Manitoba's finest.
Hazy Jane was a game changer for me, but Aldi's rip-off version Hazy Daisy is half the price at the moment.

Commiserations to @mrjamesob.bsky.social and Kidderminster, but congratulations to Southport FC. Sefton derby in the final, maybe?

Why is your 100% 139% above average while my 100% is only 71% above average? BLUESKY MATHS IS MELTING MY BRAIN.
Ok, I'll cede ground on the magenta, but lime green is definitely not gold.
I'm trapped in NYC because of ATC problems. The weather has turned here, too. It was 18C and sunny when I arrived on Saturday.
First job is to replace this sign in Chinatown that I saw this morning. He needs to get to work!
The acts of a few private foreigners do not make it pro-confederate. The work of local historian Eric Scott Lynch has resulted in plaques being installed to acknowledge the city's links to the horrors of slavery. Rather than hide from our history, we are staring it squarely in the eyes.
Very responsibly posting somebody else's location on social media
Try a French Canadian movie called C'est pas moi, je le jure! It's the movie that gave us the girl flipping the middle finger in the bus window.
