On a lovely Sunday morning riverbank walk, so lucky to have this ten minutes walk from our front door. Low tide right now, but looking at the water filled crevices in the grassy land below me, it has been a very high tide. So peaceful here, just sounds of the birds around me. 🥰

An emotional day ended with a sunset walk. My uncle peacefully passed away in the early hours of this morning. He was 88 & the only brother of my dear mam. He had led a wonderful life, was a coal miner, champion pigeon racer, friend to many, loving son, brother, husband,dad & uncle. May he RIP 🙏.
A busy few days working. Finished at 1pm, then went to my eldest sister's home to celebrate her 70th birthday & 46th wedding anniversary at a small family gathering. Lovely 🥰. Years flying by, here I am aged 4 with my then 17 year old sister, I know the spot this was taken, we should re-enact it!
Off to work for 2nd shift of day - 4pm to 9pm. Already worked 8am to 1pm , quick break at home, some food & wander around the garden in the searing heat. Working in Care, in & out of people's homes - I love it, but this heat doesn't help one bit!! See you later .

There's been lots of crop cutting action around our way this week. Stopped & watched this one on my walk today. I've loved tractors ever since my Taid (grandfather) used to sit me on his knee & I'd help him drive his tractor up & down his farm track. Today is my Sunday, back in work tomorrow 😀.

Obviously the home owner should have been asked for permission for this mural to be placed on their home ... but I'm not sure how 'the painting came as a shock' .... I may be wrong but I'm sure this wouldn't have appeared just overnight, with no scaffolding required. There was an unveiling too ..

Lazing in bed when the doorbell rang. Rushed down to find these on the doorstep. I played a small part in helping a friend address her work/life balance... she applied for job in same team as I am in & she got it! Her message 'A small thank you for a big difference' 🥰😍 🥺🥺 So kind of her 🥰.
My happy place. It's been so good to rediscover my love of gardening this past year. Just to potter around, plant more of the seedlings in the beds, get soil under my NEVER manicured/painted nails, watch the birds & butterflies, monitor the progress through the season of the plants ..priceless. 🥰

My Chemical Romance last night at Anfield. Utterly amazing performance, fabulous atmosphere. Home after midnight, and today a 10 hour split shift between 8am and 9pm today ... but I'll carry on , I'll carry on ..

57 today!! Just had a lovely ramble around my favourite garden centre & treated myself to a delicious lunch. Out tonight with Mr C to a local pub for a meal. Tomorrow it's My Chemical Romance supported by Echo and the Bunnymen at Anfield with Mr C & our son.
Woohoo! I now have a neck fan to help cope with the heat. It reminds me of the horse collar that 'gurners' use in competitions, but I don't care, I'm too blooming hot !

Me & Mr C have had a fabulous weekend break in beautiful Shrewsbury, continuing our celebration of our 25 year wedding anniversary. It's been such a very special week. 😍😍
