Feels only right that he was made almost entirely out of spare parts, many being leftovers from past customs.
The gear and flywheel do turn also. They serve no functional purpose but I thought them being static would be boring.

Idea for this inspired by @oi02productions.bsky.social ! I’m not big on diecast to wooden conversions these days, but I thought his custom looked impressive and didn’t clash too hard aesthetically. It’s nice to finally have a Samson that is more in scale with my other engines.

Here she is with my first attempt in 2018. The newer one is slightly less detailed but I think fits the style of TWR much more, also just came out much cleaner.

Some people might ask why I didn’t just use a Molly for this, but they’re technically different versions of the class so I figured it fine to take some liberties, plus I think it’s fun that he looks like a shrunken B12.

2025 was a pretty rocky year for me, but it still had its fair number of highs that I’ll look back on fondly. Nothing compares to the time I got to spend with people at Awdry Ex and that especially will be an experience I’m forever grateful for. Here’s to 2026!
