We got to visit the Obama Presidential Center while in Chicago! My 5th presidential library & museum. It was my 1st one where they let you take photos at the desk in the replica Oval Office. Another fun moment was seeing a copy of a I Can Register You To Vote button on display from my old job #ncpol

It was fun to be back in Chicago!

With Homer's epics in the news so much lately, I thought it would be a fun creative endeavor to do a photo of the Greek gods facing off on the sides they took in the Trojan War. Luckily, being married to a Classics professor means there’s always a copy of the #Iliad and the #Odyssey nearby!

Just registered my new neighbor to vote! Bringing my total up to 104 registrations for this year, and 5057 voter registrations for my lifetime total. I am bummed that boards of elections will no longer provide packets of forms to those conducting voter registration drives any more though. #ncpol

I’m so used to seeing myth told as stories for kids, that seeing this live action treatment of monsters made it feel as much like a horror movie as an adventure one. I’m glad to have seen this on the big screen. No other screen might do the same justice to the Cyclops and other giants. #TheOdyssey

I’m glad this show got a planned finale with this Netflix movie coming out this summer. Kind of bummed that we won’t see these characters on screen again though. 🍃 💞 🍂 #heartstopper

First time eating in at Crust & Craft off Hanes Mall Blvd. We decided to get a few options and some to-go boxes so we could sample more varieties. The Fireside Paneer Pizza was quite good.

Just got in an order of one of my favorite sodas! I wish it was easier to get around here. As it stands, it’s just a once-a-summer treat to order a case.

I had some reading buddies this evening

It was fun while it lasted. Per the #Winston-Salem Journal, it looks like the #German team has already been knocked out and left Winston-Salem for good. Auf Wiedersehen and safe travels!

Had a window visitor last night

We lost power yesterday for nearly 24 hours thanks to a big storm. Got into the 80s inside. But it’s back now! Luckily, we had a lantern.

It was a dark and skunky night…
