Ori and the Blind Forest/Will of the Wisps - Gareth Coker I'm just putting these here now because I have to just in case no more likes come in. These games are peak. The soundtracks are peak. Coker was on some kind of euphoric hopium-fueled crack when he made them. I love Ori and YOU SHOULD TOO
Endless Fantasy - Anamanaguchi God, I fucking love this album. Simply put, this album is everything I love about electronic music. It also came out just before I turned 18. I have a personal connection to this album being a capstone of my adolescence. Lots of happy memories with this one. :")
Here Come The Runts - AWOLNATION This guy's music is a bit all over the place, but that's why I love it. His vocal range and ferocity is something I really admire. This album has some great pop, rock, and a little bit of soul all in one package. And yes, he's the guy that coined the "SAIL!" meme.
Spiritfarer - Max LL Videogame OSTs count too, right? Dude, not only is this game such an emotional journey, the soundtrack is just so beautifully composed. Play the game if you haven't, it's a perfect cozy game that -will- make you cry. And if not that, at least appreciate the soundtrack. :")
In Your Honor - Foo Fighters The first album I ever owned. What got me into hard rock as a kid, and I've never looked back. Dave Grohl's screams will scratch my brain in just the right way every time. A gorgeous album from front to back. No skippers, either, IMO!
Tales Of The Night Forest - Black Hill Another atmospheric escapade, but only utilizing a singular guitar. Each track tells a story through its pacing and delivery. One of the few albums I listened to last year that made me reflect on life and decisions I've made. Great stuff.
3. slice of life - Deathbrain If you like DnB in any way or just need something to relax to; this one is it. The combination of early 2000's happy hardcore and DnB mixed with just this euphoric atmosphere through the entire thing is incredibly soothing. Listen to this high af; just a suggestion.
NuTRAD - Hiromitsu Agatsuma Been listening to this guy since I was like 12. I think out of all his works, this one truly blends the line of jazz-fusion and traditional shamisen so perfectly. So many bangers on this album to just jam out too.
1. Motorway - FearOfDark Genuine sleeper album that took me by surprise last year. Really good if you like chiptune. The last song made me cry.
