I'm trying to help my artist achieve a bumpy, viscous look she's been struggling with. So I gave her some more visual reference. The shit monster from the movie Dogma.
Not sure if this will be the final frame, but I cleaned it up a bit more just to see how it might look. Still figuring things out.
I just finished, "The Handmaids Tale". It was interesting, crazy and scary to consider. But what struck me the most was the ending. I was not at all expecting the ending. I'm definitely going to watch the series, but I may also listen to more of the authors books. Crazy shit.
I finished up Cronos the New Dawn earlier. I really liked the story and gameplay. The world, the lighting, the models, it was all good. You should most definitely check it out if you're into survival horror. I'm definitely looking forward to the next game from Bloober Team.
I just rolled credits on Mixtape. Such a unique and fun way to tell a story. I can't count how many times I had a grin on my face while I played. I get that people had issues with it, because we can't have nice things. If you're looking for a new game, it's a short fun play through you won't regret.
The Reavers look good in this universe. Maybe that also means we get some Lady Death Strike. Which would be awesome. Overall I'm pretty hyped... Also why do I get the feeling one of those hostages might have been shot when they were firing at Wolverine? 🤔
Sabertooth looks great. But he also looks like he's wearing his costume from Team X. Great nod to Sabertooths history with Wolverine. Which might point to some kind of flashback. Which if soo would be cool to see Maverick. Always liked that design.
Couple of things I picked up from the Wolverine trailer after watching it a second time. Debra Wilson seems to be playing Callisto, leader of the Morlocks. So I'm assuming they'll play a bigger role in the game. I don't think you'd model her likeness for a small role. But I could be wrong 🤷😅
Felt pretty good getting all of this organized. I could probably condense it all better at some point, but I think I also want to expand a bit before I do.
The background is still coming together. I think when I do my next background I'll make an effort to model out more detail. But it's looking good with the animation. I'll need to tweak the lighting. Looking a little too hot on some of those dogs.
So I just finished Pragmata. While I know there's been a lot of discussion about it, what I'll say is that the gameplay was fun and refreshing. I've been playing games consistently since the 80s and you rarely see a game whose gameplay is so rock solid. I know the discussion about the little girl...
I'm starting to run out of space. I think I'll need a new bookshelf soon. Let me know if you ever want some recommendations!
I'm getting really into adding detail. Especially some of the patterning. Still so much to do and I can only find so much time to work on this... But at least I'm getting happier with it. Means I haven't totally forgotten what I'm doing in 2d. 😂
Slowly building out this background. Temp colors. Going to take a while... But it's definitely fun.
Finally animated the first crow flying forward. This section mimics the original Scooby Doo opening. Just gotta paint this background and tweaking the animated text that happens after this.
