Sequim weather looks incredible the next few days. We're going back and forth some between here and Gig Harbor (75 miles) while our house is being finished, hopefully within a month. Using the time here and the many trails to get in the best shape I've been in years.

Incredible afternoon at the Sequim Lavender Festival touring a farm and taking in other various activities. The lavender ice cream is good enough to make Blue Bell blush with envy The beauty of the PNW never ceases to amaze.

Sitting by the water in spectacular Gig Harbor watching a high quality Chicago cover band at a street concert. Life doesn't get much better for me.

Pretty good for an old man

Enjoying a spectacular afternoon at Hurricane Ridge. Located a short jaunt away in the Olympic National Park, and sitting at 5242 feet elevation, it has long been one of our favorite places in the PNW. Quoting the great Johnny Nash, "I can see clearly now."

Worse ways to spend a morning than at Sequim's Port Williams beach and walking trail.

This is what warrants a heat wave advisory in these parts. They have no clue😂

Picked up our 2026 Subaru Forester sport hybrid today. An AWD is essential in these parts, and especially for us making the trip through the Rocky Mountains in November and December.

Invigorating morning walk on the picturesque Olympic Discovery Trail in Port Angeles. Ready for some more Mariners, Sam Houston and Texas ⚾ misery.

Sequim's John Wayne Marina is spectacular. It was constructed in 1985 on 22 acres of land at Pitship Point donated by the actor's family. Named in recognition of John Wayne's love for the area. Great way to spend the early part of a brilliant PNW afternoon.

Back in my favorite state. Watching my favorite baseball team. Life is good again.

First Mariners game I've been able to watch. The process of moving sucks. Can't wait to get the MLB Mariners package and make our way back to T-Mobile in late June once we're settled.

I appreciate you. We have a small shrine in his honor in our house. The rings were his favorite toy.

Walked in for Thanksgiving lunch and was quickly greeted by the youngest daughter. "Dad, we've been waiting on you. Come get Evan." Didn't let me out of his sight for 2.5 hours. That's my buddy. That's Ms. Rachel playing on the phone.

The weekend setup. The wife is out of town for the week, but I will be just fine.

Youngest daughter, son in law and grandson at a family wedding this afternoon. Evan was not enamored with the scene so the wife and I went and picked him up so they could enjoy the reception. No 63 year old man has ever watched more Ms. Rachel than me. It mesmerizes him.

Grandson Evan cried when I left the house for a second. Wife told me she wishes that would stop Reminded her she does the same thing so no reason to be mad at him.😂

The oldest piece of clothing I own is this 1998 Sam Houston sweatshirt. Refuse to let it go. Still wear it often in the winter and looks almost as good as the day purchased. It has survived numerous road trips, moves and spills. Consider it almost like a friend.

Sometimes my daughters send texts or call with stuff that paralyzes me. Nothing more so than this with grandson Evan in my baby rocking chair. My mom is no doubt looking down from heaven with tears of joy.

Welcome the newest Dallas Cowboys fan to the family. Carson Blake Davidson was born a few minutes ago at a healthy 8 lbs. and 21 inches. Mom and baby are doing well. Linda and I are up here watching his big brother until they come home Saturday.

Meet my new dance partner Moe the mini bernadoodle. It's my greeting from him every time upon returning from the golf course. He's a big fan of Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and Chubby Checker.

One of my golfing buddies has taken a special interest in a club footed deer that hangs out around his house. It struggles to keep up with the others so he hand feeds it daily. The world needs more guys like him.

I have the practice sweater. Got it right after they came out. I'm cheap😂

Love the newest addition to my wardrobe from 47 hats. Will die on the hill the Kraken logo is the best in all of sports.

Today's our 1 year anniversary of being back in Texas. Beyond thankful for the pic on the left, but miss the pic on the right every day. My ♥️ will always be in the PNW.
