I never put it up here because I was too excited, but look! Finally, a perfectly running cassette deck! A mid-80's Sears LX series double dick, and it's built like a tank. Time to see if the recording head works and make a mix tape.
Quick life update: Gonna have a car repair goal up during broadcasts for the foreseeable future. As always, every little bit helps, but please don't feel pressured to help if you aren't able to.
Art update: what the hell even is rendering??? I really need to learn a technique soon, especially in Procreate.
Project update time! OLED upgrade kits are in for mine and Jaimie's Switch Lites! Along with being a significantly better screen, it includes the ability to have video out on a console never designed for it. Stay tuned for more updates.
Pride month WIP. For the other artists in the chat: Man, is there anything more satisfying than looking at rough posing and structural breakdown and being thoroughly satisfied with the result of your hard work? I don't think there is, barring rendering results. That's witchcraft.
It's a KV-9PT60 from 2001! It's actually the one I bought to replace the 45 year old Panasonic Quintrix II that previously was in its place.
Gonna get the tower mounted up under the desk by the end of the month so the cables have less stress when raising and lowering. The battlestation will be absurdly clean, then! 😄
Desk reorganized... Again... I'm so used to having the one monitor rotated 90 degrees to vertical that this feels so weird.

I'm tired of the enshitification of everything. The Sears TV is from 1988 and the Sony audio equipment is from 1987, and it all just still *works,* and works *well.* Down with "smart" tech, give me tech that will just last.

Forgot to share this earlier, but I did get the Switch all put together and running! Still works flawlessly, so I guess this means it's on to the software modification side to make the most of it!

I've got good news and even better news: The good news is that my copy of MCM's "Kei To The City 2" cassette came in! The even better news is that my 30 y/o cassette deck works flawlessly across both decks! Guess I need to start collecting cassettes again. 😅
