Bank Holiday Sunday in Glesga so Saturday (Sunday) night concert for me as G is in work tomorrow and can't do anything fun today. Cider with the sun streaming in and Iron Maiden on the Telly box. Very happy gay.
Been working hard on getting into shape and eating healthily etc, so I'm *very* pleased to fit into a t-shirt and shirt that were far too tight just 3 months ago. Onwards.

Keep thinking about last night. Every so often I go to a show that is so life affirming and makes me dance, sing and smile. Pet Shop Boys '22 and now Robyn '26. The final Missing U/Call Your Girlfriend/Dancing on my Own was perfect, but the unexpected acoustic Be Mine! was the absolute highlight.
I've been lusting after a pair of trainers (Axel Arigato) for about 18 months but couldn't bring myself to spend £230. Anyway, £70 off today so snapped them up.

Been listening to Opeth's Blackwater Park on my way to work. Can't overstate how huge this album was to me in the early 2000s. Grandiose, eloquent, crushing, stunning. I love this album.
Been on a Meshuggah kick recently. Genuinely forgot how monstrously heavy this band is and how utterly ridiculous it is to headbang to. obZen, Catch Thirty-Three and Koloss have all pummelled my ears this week. Started on Rivers of Nihil today...will see how this is.
