I was looking for coverage from when Adam O'Neal was hired at the Post and instead came across this tidbit from Status, and I hope any post-mortem on his tenure includes an explanation on how "didn't drown a mouse" became a news story.
I’m sorry, you can’t convince me any of these characters are faithful to the original Greek texts.
I know that the "*standing up on the plane*" format going around today is basically another version of the "Norman Rockwell guy-at-a-meeting" meme but when I read it, I don't picture someone making a grand declaration, I can't help but picture them doing this.
A few years ago The Wiggles added four new Wiggles and for, like, a year, all of them had to wear shirts with their names on them, including the original four. Like if you tuned in to “Siskel & Ebert” and there was a third guy and their sweaters said “Gene”, “Roger” and “Dave”.
@markharris.bsky.social Congratulations to your husband for making Columbia Magazine's list of "notable alumni with Emmy nominations" and also congrats I guess to notable alumnus Roy Cohn?
Twin investigative reporters visit London; one mistakes a receptionist for a fashion designer.
I got curious about this, because I mainly remember that "The Women" was about women moving to Reno to establish residency for a divorce, and went down a rabbit hole that landed me with what I think is an answer to your question, from Wikipedia's page on "no-fault divorce".
It’s not that it’s not an important story but every time someone says his name my brain does a smash-cut to this.
Showed this to the cowboys from the Pace Salsa commercial and they’re screaming, crying, shitting themselves.
Spent 20 minutes talking to Mitch McConnell and he told me the best things in life are free?
I am so confused about so many of the decisions and logistics of this alleged party?
Trying to reconcile the NYT election graphics showing 80% of the vote is in, with this just-posted update saying it’s actually only 1/3 of the vote. Am I… missing something here?
Checking in on view counts on the Washington Post's new "Make It Make Sense" podcast and I dunno, man. Seems bad.
Jesus. That’s a bad take on the best of days but especially when you contrast Mamdani with how his immediate predecessor in office tried to straddle his city’s sports fandoms. If you can’t see the difference, I dunno, but I can’t help you.
It’s… been out for 43 years now, the affair is a minor plot point midway through, and it’s not like it’s a murder mystery people watch for its twists and turns. The movie’s poster was its final shot and the ending was literally spelled out in its tagline.
I feel like “Amazing” and “Real” are both weird words to use, and they’re only on the packaging to put as much space as possible between “Mike’s” and “Mayonnaise”.

I don’t find The Free Press branching out into “experiences” all that unusual, because that’s long been a profit center for magazines. But I will say — the title on their announcement is a hilarious encapsulation of how their whole brand is selling you the flattering idea you’re a brave iconoclast.
