TODAY: Let’s Go Washington, the right-wing initiative machine of hedge fund manager Brian Heywood’s, turned in half a million + signatures to the Sec of State to put repealing the millionaires tax on the ballot. One Democratic socialist, Heywood said, signed in the interest of putting it to a vote.
The Washington Coalition for Open Government is backing another change establishing a sort of triage prioritizing urgent/simple public records requests, especially those made by the media.
Key updates being considered are ensuring public records of texts and emails sent and received on government phones are created within 5 days tops. The Association of WA Cities says it prefers the more flexible deadline of “as soon as possible”
