Preparations for weddings were a lot.

Food, decorations, celebrations, and gifts had to be sorted. Cloud had redesigned the Strife Palace to accommodate more guests, expanding out the west and north wing in order to allow for Yuffie and King Shinra to bring their own lords. The more lavish the occasion, the longer the guests would be allowed to stay.

Without all the toys and things that Sephiroth had stored away in their little house, Sephiroth had spent almost twice the time on foreplay. But even with all that time, Cloud was still sore and aching. It was probably the last few rounds that had done it, in all honesty.
