Finished my game Carpoon! (Updates continue)
Finished the monster truck boss in time for Carpoon's one year anniversary! I told Peach the composer that I would be done *checks watch* eight months ago. I'm glad though that my friends wanted a little more during play testing.

Hayden shows the importance of beating games here and what can happen if you keep an open mind on a game despite the discourse around it. Also, perseverance and coming back with a new strategy!
Some of the demos I want to check out during Steam Next Fest even before unknown gems surface.
Carpoon and DOTZ are in the GameMaker rotation at BitSummit. Come on by!
Congrats to Yerk for several huge jumps toward releasing a game, and thank you for the Carpoon cameo. (Wishlist Scarlet Skips!!)
One day left to get a Dreamcast game made in 2025 (!) during the Steam Sale by Captkuso who is smarter than me!
I may try it again later without save states, but I think I would only make it to World 6. Great work by Sunsoft, which in later years became one of my favourite early developers.
Went skiing for the first time since 2019. Hard to imagine missing something that I loved to do for so long but can't do everything.
Made one more boss phase this week. #screenshotsaturday #indiedev #gamedev #gamemaker #carpoongame
Trying to get through Blaster Master for the first time (much easier with save states) and doing something I have done for a while: drawing maps. Without maps, I find the levels just big enough with similar tiles to feel lost at points.
Always amazing quality in HPRshredder's Retro Odyssey series. Honoured to draw a spiritual segment for this one. Don't miss it!
Really spinning my wheels recently (I don't want to draw animated tires again for a looong time)
One surprising thing here is the focus on external testing at scale via feedback surveys, while having almost no in-person testing on Tactical Breach Wizards (and it turned out excellent).
Realized while adding some sparks to the slide that subconsciously I may have been inspired by King Dedede's slide and the little stars he leaves behind.
Recreating the original Carpoon trailer moment with the new boss assets.
