Yeah, that was on my todo list. +5V and -5V 🤦 Not unfixable (I have the needed parts for 5->12V from my Mega Drive SCART cable project I never got around to building), but would have been bad for the TV connected as-is 😬

Oh, this is going to be so much easier than building a USB SCART adapter. Just need a(nother) Y molex HDD cable! Looks like the Ethernet should be functional too, they just didn't add the connector in the factory 😆 Can't have both (and still look nice).

All the components are soldered in place except for the RJ-45 Ethernet connector. The Ethernet port is probably functional, just need to add the port.

No external rails, but will open it up later today to see if I can pull anything out through the unused Ethernet port.

BTW, anyone know why the colors in Composite would be washed out when using a switcher? RGB is fine.

New arrivals yesterday: a Creator Crosspoint Matrix RGB switch (looks like a knock-off Extron?) and some games to cross off the list. Now to figure out how to get @chrisdeleon.bsky.social to sign my Boom Blox without traveling to the US or paying €200+ in shipping/customs 🤔

This Final Fantasy VII and VIII Twin Pack for the Switch has been sitting all alone in my old everything store for at least two years now, taunting me every time I'd go there. Passed by again yesterday and figured "why not?", haven't played either in decades and really liked VIII back in the day.

Not sure if anyone local (Valencia, Spain) follows me, but there is a nice looking 14" Loewe Xelos M37 VT (with a 50Hz Phillips Black Matrix tube!) at my local charity shop if anyone is in the market for a CRT. I have no need/space for it, but hope it ends up in a nice home.

Layout test. Still needs a few tweaks, but this is pretty much it for now. The PGM needs to go under the N64 so the speakers can fit on the PVM (but I need to build out a new small half-shelf for the N64 first).

Stress test time 😰

Gaming closet build out pretty much complete, sides and internal shelves are made from white melamine boards, top shelf from plywood.
On top of the plywood are a Band & Olufsen MX4002 and a Sony PVM-14L2

Struggling a bit with this today, but this bottom back cut came out very nicely. Did not really plan for it to line up _that_ nicely 🤩

Went to a very special place for dinner last night for a special day. Did not love every course, but overall was an amazing experience. Highly recommend going to a Michelin star restaurant (with an open mind) if you can. Also, I think I'm in love with this €153, thin as an eggshell coffee cup 🤤

Sitting here with a bag of chips watching paint dry. It's not boring if you are actively watching for the old paint to bubble up and lift off the wall 😬 The top layer of this wall is at least 50% new plaster now (it's concrete underneath), I've been at this for days...

After a long time on the backlog, these trough planters have been upgraded this morning to have sloped bottoms to help with drainage and also to require less soil. And yes, some sawdust was created in the process 😁

Did I just buy a new old stock Xbox 360 memory card to get a copy of Geometry Wars Retro Evolved? Yes, yes I did. Needed a new faceplate for my 360 due to (my) bad packaging, figured I try something silly like faux woodgrain while I'm at it 😆

Snapshot of my Dagashiya arcade cab project: Plexi cut and dry fit after sitting on the floor for months. Some of my worst work ever, but you can't really tell from the picture and will also be hidden by the holders thankfully. Next time will have it laser cut, sooo much foul language used today 🤦

Went to throw out some cardboard in the recycling this morning and found two and a half PSP games on the ground. Don't have a PSP (or plan to), but took the Ace Combat X and Star Wars Battlefield 2 and left the broken case. They're not worth selling, but someone might want them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

New tool day! My very first shop vac 🤓 This Kärcher WD 4 P should help with the sawdust I generate when woodworking. Unfortunately wasn't able to try it out today as all the streets to my new place have been closed due to Fallas 🤦

My LG Netee TV was loosing colors and sync randomly. Wiggling the scart fixed it, figured it had some cold solder joints. Oh boy was I right. Before and after pics of my okish reflow work. I blame the lead-free solder😅 The inbuilt game is still glitchy, but it's good enough condition to pass on now
