Writing MY Memoir

Growing up in the 60s and 70s, Wednesday was a big day. That's when new movies would start in town. Plus, my parents would get excited over new grocery ads!
Questions: 1. Is "Hello, Kitty" herself in the can? 2. Did she send unwanted e-mails? 3. Is the cute kitten endorsing her carnivorous ways?
I have become a fan of Hot Honey on apple slices. Today, I saw Del Monte believes, too. At $2.23, I did NOT take the plunge. I could buy a generic Dollar Tree bottle of Hot Honey and combine that with a pound of raw carrots for less than that price. What do you all like with your Hot Honey?
"Number one way life would be different if dogs ran the world: All motorists must drive with head out window." - David Letterman, TV Show Host & Comedian born April 12, 1947
First photo caption: "Will she like it? Will she EVER like it?" Caption #2: "At last. She's using it. I think she WILL like it!"
Hail possible tonight. And the apartment house parking lot has no garages or roofs. Therefore, my car might look like a golf ball with wheels in the morning, if the hailstorm goes wild. I asked ChatGPT what my car might look like after a pounding.
I don't understand TV weathermen. Just looked out the window. "Snow showers." If snow gets wet, won't he melt? And isn't all snow WET to begin with? (This is what ChatGPT and I thought of upon hearing the term.)
"I used to get a haircut every Saturday so I would never miss any of the comic books. " I had practically no hair when I was a kid!" -- R. L. Stine, "Goosebumps" author
Slobber. Drool! New flavor alert!!! Don't you wish Bluesky included scratch-n-sniff images?
Groundhog, schmoundhog... All I know is that I have to pay my rent today before I see the LANDLORD's shadow!
Happy Feb-ROO-ary. Walt said it! Who remembers this 1974 episode?
Found a brand-new (opened in November) family-run coffee shop. Whenever you can, remind the indie-business Davids that they can slay the Goliath Starbucks franchises, simply by being themselves.
I shall be asleep before the ball drops. My cat said, "If they drop the ball, it's MINE. I shall swat and chase it all night long."
Looking into the eyes of my cat, I wonder if I rescued her, or vice versa? We wish all cat (and dog) people a blessed holiday.
In a poorly-plowed Walmart parking lot, I did the splits on the slick snow-pack. I tried to be like a Nicholas Brother. Could I just put it in reverse and come out of the splits? Nope. Some things only happen in movies, I thought, as I was sprawled on the pavement, laughing my snowy ass off.
No box. No padded mailer. Just shrink-wrap and a shipping label from Amazon. Why wouldn't both covers get crunched and mangled? I paid for a new hardcover journal. Instead, this mess is what they offer. Beware!
I am so tired of the used-to-death phrase "Pick your brain" as slang for asking questions (for free). This is what I think of the e-mail request belonging to EYEGOR from the 1974 movie. You have my permission to watch it again. Blame Halloween on the diversion.
I loved this at my local grocery store. The manager taking students seriously. Giving them a taste of the real world. Who gave you your first big chance as a teen?
The geese swooped low over the field across the street. Their shadows seemed like an encore. I thought of the Blue Angels, the Navy's precision flying team. All I had to do was stop and be amazed! (Illustration made with Meta AI.)
Please, PET YOUR PET today. You are their world. Thank them!
Who has been peeking at their Bluesky page while at work on a Friday afternoon? There needs to be more memoirs about people who work a job. A friend said to me, "I am not my job. My job doesn't define me. I have a life." Meanwhile, clock watchers, prepare to be like Fred Flintstone!
Your uplifting new book and The Inspired Collective are bringing hope to the creatively discouraged. People like ME. I am one of the Whos down in Whoville. Instead of shouting, "We are here!" I'm calling out "We are writers. We are authors!" Thank you for shining your spotlight on us.
The maple whispered in my ear: "Enjoy your weekend. But autumn is coming."
He's Mickey Mouse. You're not. Don't try to be two places at once. Now is NOW. Focus!
Thanks, Meta AI. AuDHD me is on a diet. These are my thoughts. Choose words that SHOW your world. Let the readers make the picture in their heads.
My new single-vision "computer" glasses are great. They're better than I imagined. I feel like a kid again. CLICK. CLICK. CLICK.
Be nice to yourself. Don't bawl yourself out for not writing your memoir during a three-day weekend. Look ahead, not behind.
