The White House burning during the War of 1812. Attributed to the British as Canada wasn't independent at the time, but involved Canadian troops. And I wouldn't be surprised if a similar conflict actually erupted that the British might help re-enact this scene once more

Oh wow, yeah that's pretty impressive. With UK plugs/adapters, a good thing to check for (but not foolproof, because counterfeiters be counterfeiting, and not strictly a requirement either) is a Kitemark symbol. They'll have been certified against the standards.

How the fuck? (It took, like, 25+ questions, but still)

A screencapture of Akinator's guess. Akinator guesses, correctly, that I was thinking of Slartibartfast from Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. It has two buttons to let me confirm whether or not the guess is correct, and a picture of what I assume is the portrayal of the character from the older TV edition, not Bill Nighy's portrayal in the later film
