Eyfs Leader & Reception teacher, wife, parent to 2 amazing kids, permanently shattered. Enjoy a good wander around a castle, avid reader (when I have the time!) & a huge interest in Plantagenet history. Very proud Latics fan!
Really enjoying ourselves hunting for the decorated Peter Rabbit statues around Newcastle as part of the "Tales on the Tyne" trail, run by St Oswald's Hospice as a fundraiser.
Somewhere over the North Sea was getting a good downpour of rain this afternoon. Such a shame that the rain wasn't over any land though 🥺
This beautiful Sparrow Hawk was sitting in our garden yesterday evening. I didn't want to scare it away, so I took this photo using full zoom on our camera. No filters used, this is how the photo was when I took it. Such a beautiful bird.
I'm not happy with myself 🥺. This is the new book which I bought on Saturday and have just accidentally spilt an entire glass of orange juice all over.
Visited one of our favourite places today - Souter Lighthouse near South Shields. It was much warmer than it looks on this photo (27 degrees) but it was good to still see some greenery despite the lack of rain this summer.
These beautiful lillies (which were a gift from one of the little ones in my Reception Class at the end of term last week) have finally started to open. Just gorgeous 🤩
I'm a real lover of sunsets. This one was particularly lovely, after such a warm and sunny day here.
It's obviously the law that you have to eat fish and chips at the seaside, isn't it? 😋
Just been for a walk and saw this beautiful creature in a field near us 🤩. We were quite a way away from it, so this was taken on full zoom on the camera. It heard our footsteps, hence why it was looking directly at us.
I love a good wander around a castle and Helmsley is such a beautiful one. Gorgeous day to visit it too 😎
Bonnie bluebells spotted by the side of the road in Durham today. So beautiful 🤩
Not quite sure that I have the words to describe how fantastically brilliant this musical was! We came out absolutely buzzing - I'm a huge Kinks fan anyway but this was just plain incredible. Highly recommend seeing it if you get the chance 🤩.
View of Durham cathedral this morning from a different viewpoint, the other side of the city from the previous historical photo.
Saw a family of 14 beautiful ducklings with their proud Mummy duck watching over them this morning. They were so tiny and unbelievably cute! 🤩
I love the medieval hall. It used to be privately owned until a few years ago but now the National Trust are doing a superb job of looking after it.
One of my absolute favourite places - medieval Crook Hall in Durham. The gardens were just beautiful today with so many gorgeous Spring flowers. Bit chilly though!
Beautiful walk around our local Botanic Gardens in the sunshine this afternoon. It was so lovely to see the signs of new life everywhere 🤩
Had a lovely walk, if somewhat chilly, along our local riverbanks this afternoon and saw these two beauties swimming along.
We walked past there last week. It's such a beautiful building 🤩. Would have loved to go inside but it was sadly closed.
Beautiful view over Lilidoriei at Alnwick Gardens tonight as part of their Christmas Lights Trail. We loved it, despite the rain! 🤩
Curious as to whether anyone else has eaten any of this cheese at Christmas? I'm trying to pluck up the courage to try it but I'm unsure about the flavour combination 🤔🤭
