Because I opted to not recreate a paperback book cover, I was able to play around with the ghosting cheap book pages often get I inserted the spread of side B as a layer on the spread of side A, mirrored it, set the layer to multiply, then reduced the opacity to 3% #procreate #AppxNJam
Ran a small dungeon crawl last night—I mean—I had to get in a our crawlspace to run wire for our new water heater Happy to report no random encounters, besides poorly placed broken bottles
Anyone know what font is used for this logo? The distressed sticker is cool and all, but I’d like to remake it to fit the high contrast style of the rest of my cover
Where should I put my name? I’m considering shrinking the picture a bit and placing my name near the top, in a smaller font. Something like what Luke Gearing did for The Isle #LayoutQuestion
Fire Tower’s theme is hilarious. The fuck is a “rival fire tower”? It’s like if a game was called “Surgeon” and each player represented a doctor, but you all take turns acting as the dying patient with the goal of having any doctor but yours get sued for medical malpractice
Clarification: They should make the Free RPG Day 2026 QuickStart “An Afternoon Outing” a free pdf. I don’t love the idea of it remaining an exclusive relic This is a solid all-ages TTRPG, yet it’s being marketed like it’s a board game
I don’t normally advocate for games that have a $40 starter set that doesn’t include character creation rules, or games that charge $30 for a pdf, or games that charge $50 for the book without a pdf—but the Free RPG Day QuickStart of Dungeons & Kittens is really neat! They should make it a free pdf
I highly highly recommend these hooded long-sleeved swim shirts from Sam’s Club, and these utility pants from Menards Both have UV protection and are quick-dry. I’ve been wearing them all summer and they let me sweat and feel the breeze without ever feeling heavy
This is my first summer working an outside job. Accounting humidity, I think today got up 106°F I was mowing from 6:00am to 2:30pm, then came home and mowed my own lawn for a couple hours It’s 10:00pm and the feels like temp is still 90°F
I love the core mechanic of this game! The toddlers (players) spin a d10 as if it were a top and the babysitter (game master) counts how many seconds it spins until it stops. Then modifiers are added or subtracted from the seconds spun vs an assigned target number #StandingIsHard
Loving this one. Definitely going to keep an eye out for the 2027 submission link
Chronically online? I get paid to touch grass (I’m working as a groundskeeper this summer)
Game Changer TTRPG: Don’t let the players know what system they are playing
The other day I unintentionally spent all of my luck trying to remove the one energy from my opponents active pokemon Every other time I try this card I get tails on the first try. Lol
Disappointed that my local library network doesn’t have Shadowdark in any of their 500+ participating libraries…
Any public interest in an Oatchi update for Groundlings? Yochai’s post is tempting me to shirk my responsibilities, and work on my Pikmin hack for Mausritter again
As someone who likes to build decks, this app is very friendly. For being a game that’s 50% card collection, I love that at most you only need 2 copies of a single card to play competitively. If you only have one copy of a trainer card, you can still use it in all 25 decks without disassembling them
My wife set up an impromptu viewing of some old Beatrix Potter vhs projected onto our shed for our nieces
