you don't expect a "depressing romanian movie" to have the almost western, bad day at black rock blocking, but maybe more people would watch them if they advertised them that way. in any case, too exciting stuff to watch this early
full day off so on to my intense rest and relaxation program (rewatching the cristian mungiu filmography at 7 in the morning) - what a balm it is to see widescreen movies where every shot isn't a person's head in the dead center of the screen with the rest completely out of focus
just when i thought i got through the week without further calamities, the pizza i ordered arrived and it took me at least 40 full seconds to figure out what was odd about it -- there was no logo on the box -- because it was face down
hey, it's not 100% yellow outside anymore, i guess global warming has been solved. on with thursday then
friday plan was going to be this, but with how the day has been going, at this point i am changing it to just "avoiding aneurysms"
you probably got this issue but if not, it shouldn't be too hard to find, it had a nice selection of stuff

sometimes i end up doing better work painting with a mouse, probably because it slows things down
i can't remember if i even posted the fifth one, but hey: six of six. for the last one i had the presence of mind to factor in that white works different on paper, so i took out everything i could (even more so than usual)
but it does appear everywhere, including skin, if you look at the edges of your fingers closely, so as soon as painting reaches a certain treshold of... naturalism? ('realism' sounds wrong; 'rendering' is not really a factor) it's inevitable to deal with it constantly (cc @paulchadwick.bsky.social)

somehow i'm always needing to do either helmets or transparent stuff all the time for work; in the past two years i must have spent at least four years painting the fresnel effect
some more home made putridity during lunch break (apologies if it was your lunch break too) / whenever i learn anything I'll think "when will this ever be useful" and without fail it turns out i need it on the very next picture or job i do
i never had too much use for the mixing panel in CSP but today i noticed that it doesn't require holding the alt key to pick a color from it, so it might be useful for single-handed work
nobody told me you could just make these at home- pivoting from ligne claire to working exclusively with a big plank like gerhard richter
still a few hours of the weekend left for the Personal Nonsense Program / probably the last time anyone asks me to help painting an apartment
do people even ask probing questions like "what data"? have we had scientists look into what this mysterious opaque substance might be composed of and if we could possibly influence it in any way? surely if we could capture a boson we could get some clue about this within a decade or two
