Very saddened to hear about Sam Neill, clearly AoNZ's greatest film actor by a long way but also just a top bloke. Been a fan since I first saw him over 40 years ago in "Reilly, Ace of Spies". Just last month went to see "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" which was as fun this time as the first. Massive loss. Aroha nui Sam.

Mōrena e te whanāu, Jonathan Livingston Seagull does a quick photo-bomb of a couple of swans at sunrise on a very fresh (6 degrees) winter's morning here in Tāmaki Makaurau. Mānawatia a Matariki!

I quite like this photo taken at 7.44 am from my office in Takapuna looking towards a slightly obscured Rangitoto. The clouds are several different hues of pink and grey with some blue skies which gives the impression they have been painted.
