Paloma doing her best performance as the Madonna/Mountain motif. The bobos is not feeling well and is in the latter stages of kidney disease. She's 16, so it's been a good run, but we're coming up on the end. Give your fuzzy buddies a Churu today and tell them you love them like I love Paloma.
Pretty close. This is centered around us-west-2. www.tomforth.co.uk/circlepopula...
OK everybody: there's another planned service disruption this weekend, reply with when/where you found/find out about it organically, and whether it was after a marketing announcement for tap2ride. For science!
Other artifacts have been moved from their original location, like these station houses.
I was on the lookout for station buildings and artifacts that I'd missed before. This signal pole still stands in Clyde. As I recall, the rails were removed only a few years ago to build the path and park.
40 mile ride along the Sacramento Northern corridor from Oakland Yard to Clyde, now mostly a multi-use path or BART. It's been 62 years since the tracks went out of service, and there's very little that hasn't been rebuilt for another purpose: BART, freeway, trail, baseball field...
Bicycle parking situation at Mosswood Meltdown has melted down. Every signpost for a block is parked up, including the ones in the median of MacArthur.
I have lots of different transit options commuting between North Oakland and Palo Alto, and today I chose the ferry. Sadly, Delphinus is having engine issues and still stuck at berth.
April -- 1916. The Kaiser is master of Europe. Only the British army stands before him. Deserts are now battlefields.
When I woke up this morning, I had no idea I was going to jam 17 pounds of plums today. But here we are.
More kayaking on the bay today. Earlier, so less wind, but this time in the slot so I'm happy to be off the water by 11. But that's the perfect time to head out sailing.
Our Capitol Corridor conductor blocking traffic at 5th Ave in Oakland because the crossing signal was out. I'd imagined that it's what you'd need to do, but never seen it done. Weird to remember that a guy can just get out of the train when it's not at a station.
Kayaking on the bay today. Got a late start, so I had to cut it short as the wind and waves were already kicking up. Windsurfers loved it though.
Santa Clara was rebuilt in about 2012, but only has 3 platforms.
The strategic Caltrain petroleum reserve at the South San Francisco yard.
Relevant to my interests, a mini zine about transit to the Mendo Coast. www.instagram.com/p/DaQtaVqGSp...
