Kinda wish the container loads were the Valser ones as I've definitely seen video of those but must have been harder to get them to sign off on that.
Replaced the aging leg joints on my Gao Tiger with 3D printed replacements from eBay! They needed a little bit of sanding for a perfect fit but the movement feels waaaay better now.
You ever just get a free mechanical keyboard? One loose connection and the strain relief fixer and good as new!!
On second thought I think I’ll hold onto Raiden for the moment but I did get pics of all the damage as I packed him up.
The SMP Gaoranger stuff is tempting and definitely cheaper than trying to get the DX stuff but paying that much and still being met with THAT many stickers including wrap-arounds is wild.
and for the record, the photos I had to go off of when buying Gaoking were like this. You'd assume practically unplayed with aside from some paint wear on Lion's feet, right?!
the amazing diagram of how that area is assembled I made at the time. I tried to glue the plastic section back together but it broke again immediately so I just filled the whole damn metal tube with Superglue.
So MAYBE later in the year I will return to the Power Animals. Not featured above is GaoGiraffe who's gimmick managed to snap his own head off and I had to glue it as well!
STORY TIME since it was in the twitter days. I bought my Gaoking w/ all the original packaging, baggies etc. assuming it was minty fresh only to be met with more wear then I was anticipating when I opened it. And then not even 24 hours later I snapped the arm connector on GaoLion.
not to fault the first film but it kind of forgets there's a train in it for a good chunk
idk how many IBO rewatches I’ve started and not finished but always gotta shoutout my goat the butt tomato
I would have got this but I didn’t bring a ton of money today and it had at least 1 tender step off.
If I was rich I happen to live not terribly far from a train store (🇺🇸) that actually has a small selection of imported stuff and a LOT of Bemo. But that Allegra on the top shelf is like $800 and I can get the Kato one for probably around the $100 ballpark when it rereleases in October.
Adding the two Aussischtswagens gives a decent facsimile of one of the Croc’s current day duties which is pulling the Nostalgia Trains during the summer.
