The Regional Funding Measure for Transit would raise hundreds of millions of dollars for Santa Clara County to invest in VTA and to save Caltrain. But county leaders need to "Opt-In" the county to SB 63 -- the law that'd make this all possible. (H/t Dylan F. for the graphic!)

Hi from Richmond City Council where we're presenting in support of a creating a permitting process to allow community members to install benches at bus stops & establish standards for it!

Right now, BART and other transit systems in CA are facing huge budget shortfalls. Agencies have implemented savings where possible, but they will have to make drastic service cuts if they don't secure more funds from regional and state governments. 4/5

The results show just how critical BART is to the Bay Area. During and shortly following the shutdown, speeds on the Bridge tanked to just 28mph, compared to the average speed of 63mph, a 55% reduction. Even during the evening rush, speeds were 25% slower, from the typical 40mph to 30mph 3/5
