I think some Republicans are intentionally blowing up the national debt so that the social safety net will completely crumble. No president has been worse on the national debt this century than Trump.
I recently participated in North Portland Sunday Parkways. “Parkways” was back in North Portland for the first time, since the start of the pandemic! During “Parkways” the city closes down miles of road to mororized vehicles. This year, I joined Black Men’s Wellness Portland on their bike ride!
Fresh green beans from the garden for dinner! Served with lemon, pepper and salt.
I started a ginger bug so that I can make my own low cost probiotic soda. Any tips or advice?
I am excited to share that I have been appointed as the new Chairman of the House Human Services Committee by Oregon Speaker Fahey. I want to express my gratitude to my predecessor, Rep. Annessa Hartman. Her leadership has been an inspiration. I recognize the big shoes I have to fill!
Last weekend, I joined community in marching in the Portland Pride Parade. I had a great time walking with the Multnomah Democrats! At the festival, I had the honor of presenting legendary drag performer Kourtni Capree, Henry Felton & Pride NW with an official copy of House Resolution 3!
I met Barack Obama 10 years ago, in 2016. That day changed my life forever. He wasn’t a perfect president, but he tried to be a g’great example of a decent human being. I miss having someone like him in the White House. I wouldn’t be a State Rep. if he hadn’t been president. #barackobama
I recently had the honor of speaking at the ribbon cutting for the new Darcelle XV Plaza, one of the few public spaces named after a drag queen. Darcelle was a barrier-breaking community activist and drag legend. This is long overdue! 🏳️🌈Happy PRIDE Month! 🌈 #darcellexv #portland #pridemonth
Recently attended the grand opening of Freeland Spirits new Portland International Airport location!
A year ago, we got in some GOOD TROUBLE! First statehouse in the nation to have a live drag show on the floor of a chamber.
It was an honor to be on hand for the unveiling of former Governor Kate Brown’s official portrait at the capitol yesterday.
What a weekend! I had a great time at the Burnside Bridge centennial party. Friends, community, vendors and views! The weather was perfect too. Days like this are one of the many reasons why I love living in Portland! #portland #burnsidebridge #pdx #iconicbridge
Happy Sunday! I’m amending soil with homemade well rotted compost.
Proud to stand with the Nurses at Good Samaritan hospital in Puyallup as they fight for a fair contract. Their fight for safe staffing, equal treatment regardless of race or ability & job security have forced them to the picket line. #MultiCare #nurse #workers
I submitted a letter to the editor of the Oregonian in support of Dr. Tammy Carpenter 2 weeks before the Democratic Party Primary election. The Oregonian declined to publish it.
Thanks for all of the support!. I became a nurse because I wanted to save lives and I decided to run for public office for the same reason. It’s truly an honor and a privilege to serve. On to November!
Tammy went from being down by nearly 300 votes at the start of the night to being down by 57 at the end of the night. Hundreds of votes are yet to be counted…. This has the potential to be a race decided by single digits! 😬
Tuesday is Election Day in Oregon! Don’t forget to turn your ballot in! If you’re in Beaverton, VOTE for Nafisa Fai and Dr. Tammy Carpenter! #election2026 #vote #electionshaveconsequences #orpol
I hope that every Nurse watching this video, was recognized for Nurses Week! Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system! #nurse #nursesofbluesky #nursesweek #nursing
The St John’s Parade is one of the BEST Parades in Portland! The community turns up and turns out for this annual family friendly event. This is one of the community gatherings that I look forward to every year. I ❤️ St. Johns #portland #nopo #community #parade
