the marching cubes are working except the saving of modified terrain its not the best performance wise but i think its good a enough #gamedev
i think im gonna attampt to use marching cubes gonna redo all the current terrain code but i think its gonna be worth it since this will allow for caves
i found code on panda3d forum that maybe requiring a large rewrite of my terrain gen but on the up side i can have 3d terrain its marching cubes shader which may screw up npcs since they work on just 2d terrain but i do astar pathing that may fix that problem
so i have figured out how to use instances on bullet physics objects this will improve performance for ragdolls should allow me to create more than 20 ragdolls, this 1000 bullet physics objects, running nicely around 60 to 57 fps on uncompilied #gamedev
found a helpful thing on the forums of panda3d of which i can add ragdolls to my game i need to recreate a ragdoll version of my models but it should do the trick #gamedev
it aint perfect but i finally got the animation mainly done just in blender #gamedev
i think i found simpler way of doing the hold animations this uses subparts and works fine with base animations i just need to figure out the swing
in theory when i add new tracks should be pretty easy this my system in blender the collider isnt set right
bit of progress on multiplayer connections #gamedev #indiegame #panda3d
bit of a dialogue system ill add some quick questions buttons to it just to know what it can answer
been redoing the animations getting them put back with the new system #gamedev #indiegame #panda3d
did some improvement added idle hold made the camera not be affected by rotation of chest #gamedev
after a few days i have finally have the proper system for animations i should done this at the start but didnt think of this at the time #gamedev #panda3d #indiegame
some progress so it seems i ended up with needing 2 seperate actors so each arm can do something different once fully setup its gonna look a lot better and easier to animate
getting the 2nd pair of arms working its slightly easier than i thought so thats nice so far but i still need to figure out a couple other things but i think it will be easier than my previous system
test video i think i was recording wrong resolution for while now its mainly for shorts i record this way
not quite the effect i was going for but its funny seeing them float up like ballons #gamedev
