went to a little remnant prairie today, part of the .01% that is left in illinois. that’s not a statistical error, that’s really all that’s left. appreciate whatever beauty remains

pruning the black walnut tree and discovered the weirdest galls i’ve ever seen, caused by Aceria caulis mites, which is actually not harmful for the tree… still very alien

i have been loving these storms lately and so have the jelly fungi
