Thoughts on the outbreak of the parasite Cyclosporiasis, which is currently causing serious health issues to many people, and how people treat any reported illness that has made the news as a joke and/or simply don't take things seriously.

personally, I think we need to be responsible when it comes to things like the Cyclosporiasis outbreak.

It's not just "haha explosive diarrhea", this parasite is sending people to the hospital.

Be properly informed.

It always bothered me that people treat anything serious such as a parasite outbreak or a virus spread through the air (COVID) as a joke.

People have died from this and these illnesses don't target people based on politics, ideology, creed, etc.

These things don't go around targeting only the "bad people™" - COVID itself caused millions to die worldwide, and people just laughed it off as "just another flu or cold".

Use this opportunity to learn and also inform yourself to protect yourself and your loved ones.

some thoughts on seeing grown men crash out online over Pokémon

if you're that mad about anything Pokémon related and you still think you're a fan, I'm pretty sure you need to reevaluate why you're a fan. It's one thing to be critical and maybe have a preferred gen for any reason, it's another to just be so angry you make it your personality.

You're not supposed to hate the things you love, that's bordering on abusive. You're not supposed to react with such spite that you're constantly angry and direct it towards others. It's unhealthy for your well being. You have to cut yourself off and think through things. These are pixels.

The funny looking electric mouse isn't supposed to piss you off so much that you feel violent urges. "Playing the meta" can quickly become a toxic state of mind. These are primarily video games developed with children in mind and with a healthy competitive spirit. It is not this deep.

you are absolutely allowed to feel anger towards decisions made by the company or disappointment if starter designs didn't live up to hypothetical expectations, you can criticize charging $20 for 20 year remakes, but a LOT of "fans" take it too far sometimes.

Get help from a therapist, seriously

A, X, and Z, which were promotional ones. I stupidly transferred Y "to the professor", which means I can never retrieve that Pokémon again - I have to catch another one that spawns in the wild (rare), or trade someone for their Unown Y. Unown Z is shiny.

in 2011, I saw Lady Gaga for the first time. In 2014, I saw her a second time. In 2026, I saw her for a third time, on Valentine's Day, and all 3 times, I was reminded of why I've been a fan since 2008. Such an unforgettable night. "When I die, can I Vanish Into You?"

I'm holding up my walking cane, and tied to it is a wrist band in theme with the concert. These bands have lights that flash in sync with the show, which you remove after to be recycled and you keep the band.

these assholes can't stand 13 minutes of Bad Bunny, but their system forced me, at 5 years old, to learn English and taught me that speaking Spanish was a punishable offense in school and now I'm fluent in both languages

both sides of the aisle hated me for being too much like the other side but required my existence to be able to translate between each other

I've been exhausted for most of my life of being seen as in-between when I'm my own person and have my own identity that they'll never experience and refuse to acknowledge until they need someone like me to hold their hand and speak simple words to them so they can communicate

anyways the Super Bowl Half Time Show was great

happy 12th anniversary to the first album I pre-ordered both for a CD and the iTunes store album. I was gifted the vinyl by my sister for my 19th birthday in 2014 These are "first editions" that feature the original album tracklist iykyk 😅 (fuck R. Kelly I am a DWUW solo version truther)
