Lady Liberty . . . following the Rule of Law at a busy crosswalk in Edwardsville, Ill., like the respectable, honorable person she is, joining protestors on Jan. 2. We have a Constitution and laws we are required to follow in the decisions we make as a nation, laws that are being ignored.

Democracy needs your courage. Protestors gather the day after Thanksgiving in Edwardsville to support good government and democracy, as freezing cold as it was.

A whole lot of peaceful protestors and a few fearsome frogs hopped downtown for another protest Friday in Edwardsville. Do we really want to live in a country run by a king, dictator, or tyrant, of any nature? The frogs say NO!

Don't give up the ship, or the car, or the house, or due process, or the principles of fairness and equal treatment before the law, or the country, or your humanity.

Someday, hopefully, we will see justice. Today wasn't that day, but we won't forget.
